New financing opportunities at Keswick Club

With the recent introduction of new financing opportunities, this is the perfect time to explore membership in the area's finest golf and leisure club, Keswick Club. Located just east of Charlottesville, Keswick Club offers members and their guests unparalleled amenities, including an eighteen hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, clay and hard surface tennis courts, three spectacular swimming pools, dining in the Palmer room and terrace, as well as spa, fitness, and beauty facilities. And unlike other private clubs, accessibility to all the Club's amenities is their top priority.

Designed to complement your individual lifestyle, the Club's innovative financing is designed for both resident and nonresident memberships. Because the arrangements are made directly with the Club, and not a financial institution, the process allows for maximum flexibility, efficiency, and privacy. The Club looks forward to tailoring a financial program that fits your membership needs.

   Recruiting News

This Week In Recruiting
By Chris Horne

QB Mike Teel of Don Bosco Prep in Wykoff, New Jersey surprised everyone by committing to Rutgers last weekend. Teel was also being recruited by Virigina, Boston College, Maryland, Penn State, and others.

We spoke with Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) running back Antwain Carey (6-0, 205, 4.4 forty) about his early offers and preferences. Carey said that he plans on taking some unofficial visits this summer, definitely to Virginia Tech and UVa, and possibly others. Carey has to take the summer off from physical training, because it was recently discovered that pain in his foot that he's been suffering from since his sophomore year is actually a fracture, and he needs to let it heal. For more, see our Flash Update.

We checked in with Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) running back George Bell (5-11, 225, 4.4 forty), a chiseled player who had a great sophomore season before tearing up his knee early in his junior year. Bell still isn't completely healed, and isn't sure of his status for his senior season, but that hasn't stopped him from getting some outstanding offers already. Virginia has not offered yet. For more info and quotes from Bell, see our Flash Update.

This week's updates also included Fork Union Military Academy players Ryan Shuman (C/DE, 6-3, 255) and Maurice Reevey (LB, 6-3, 225, 4.5 forty), who has drawn comparisons to Darryl Blackstock, and Westfield (Chantilly, VA) wide receiver Eddie Royal (5-10, 170, 4.4 forty), a speedburner who won MVP at the Blacksburg Nike camp and is being heavily recruited, including by UVa.

Lastly, we introduced recruiting videos to our recruiting coverage, and the results were very positive. Look for more videos in the future.

This week, we're covering the ABCD Adidas basketball camp in New Jersey, so we'll have lots of updates and photos upon our return.

This week ...

Brian O' Connor Named Head Baseball Coach at Virginia

Brian O'Connor, the associate head baseball coach at the University of Notre Dame for the last two years and a member of the Irish coaching staff for the last nine years, is the new head baseball coach at the University of Virginia. UVa Athletic Director Craig Littlepage made the announcement on Tuesday (July 8).

"Brian O'Connor will bring energy and enthusiasm to our baseball program, and a great understanding of the landscape in college baseball," Littlepage said. "He will hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in all aspects of our program. Notre Dame is one of the country's most admired baseball programs. The experience Coach O'Connor gained in helping build Notre Dame's program will be instrumental in developing a plan to move the University of Virginia's baseball program forward."
