Wahoo fans, please support our sponsors

TheSabre.com would not exist without the support of our sponsors. Remember, the ads you see on our site are not third party advertisements. These are unique sponsors who understand the community of TheSabre.com and who support the site directly.

Brown Automotive of Charlottesville is one of TheSabre.com's top sponsors, and they deserve your support. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, please consider Brown ahead of anyone else.

Also, Brown is extending an offer that many dealerships would not consider. They are offering to the visitors of TheSabre.com a $300-Off coupon in addition to ANY deal that is made on the lot. This is not an either/or situation. You can make your best deal, then toss in the coupon at the time of sale and it will be honored.

Even better, Brown is currently running a sale. Check out their link below for more information on Brown's Member Clearance Sale.

Again, thanks for supporting the sponsors of TheSabre.com! And if you have patronized any of our sponsors, please send us an email and let us know. Feedback to our sponsors is extremely important to their long-term commitment to our site.

   Recruiting News

Virginia Football attracting the top recruits

Last year, the UVa football staff lured many top athletes to Charlottesville and finished the recruiting season with one of the nation's top ten classes. Things do not appear to be much different this year. The Cavaliers already have a commitment from one four-star recruit (Rivals.com), QB Kevin McCabe. The Cavs have also secured commitments from six three-star recruits, which include RB James Terry, OT Eddie Pinigis, OG Marshall Ausberry, OG Gordie Sammis, OLB Marvin Richardson and S Robbie Catterton.

The list of top recruits that have UVa on the radar screen is growing quickly. As of now, Rivals.com is listing 15 four- and five-star athletes that have interest in Virginia. They include QB Tommy Zbikowski, TE Greg Olsen, TE Vernon Davis, TE Jonathan Stupar, OT Eric Young, C Jordy Lipsey, DE Chris Ellis, ILB Wesley Jefferson, ILB LaMarr Woodley, OLB Jermaine Dias, OLB Joe Kedra, CB Phillip Brown, S Ryan Mundy, S Ambrose Wooden and S Cody Wells.

If Virginia secures commitments from just a handful of these recruits, they'll be well on their way to securing another top ten recruiting class.

Look for reports on many of these athletes over the coming weeks.

Virginia Football kicks off college football season tonight

Don't forget to check out the Virginia vs. Colorado State game at Scott Stadium tonight at 7:30 PM. If you cannot make it to the game, you can watch it on television regionally on Fox Sports Net or Comcast Sports Net (formally Home Team Sports). In the Charlottesville area, it will be shown on Adelphia Cable Channel 37.

Outside the Charlottesville area, please check your local listings. I find that www.tvguide.com is an excellent source for up-to-date listings. If you cannot get the game on TV, please try either www.virginiasports.com or www.wina.com for the live Internet radio broadcast.

For pregame and post game news articles, weather updates and post game stats and photos, please check out TheSabre.com's Colorado State Game News page:

Football Practice Photos

Didn't get a chance to attend the open football practices last week? Never fear, some photos are here! Apologies for not getting enough defensive photos. Photographers were only allowed 30 minutes to shoot photos, and none of the defensive players were on the practice field closest to the media.
