Wahoos!

I hope your holiday season was special, and that your new year is just as great.

There's not much to report from this past week. Football recruiting is in a dead period, and the basketball program played just one opponent over the holidays.

Things should start to pick up over the next few weeks and SabreMail will be there to report the recruiting commitments and give you the scoop on your Hoos.

   Recruiting

Don't miss this game!

Wahoo fans should tune into ESPN2 on January 5th at 1:00 p.m. EST. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas will feature at least one of UVa's future football players, massive All-American defensive tackle Kwakou Robinson (Brooklyn, NY). Joining Kwakou on the East Team will be several UVa recruiting targets: Ahmad Brooks (Woodbridge, VA), Maurice Stovall (Radnor, PA) and Jonathan Lewis (Richmond, VA). Kai Parham (Virginia Beach) will also be in attendance, but will not play in the game do to an injury. Other players from the state of Virginia include Penn State commit Levi Brown (Norfolk, VA) and Florida State commit Thomas Clayton (Alexandria, VA).

This should be an interesting game, and will give fans an idea of the talent level of these young men as they face the best prospects from across the country. For more information on this all-star game, see www.hs-allstars.com.

You'll probably need to set your VCR for this one, since the men's basketball team will be playing against N.C. State at 2 p.m.
