Virginia to play in Continental Tire Bowl in Charlotte The Cavalier football team has finally gotten its bowl bid. As anticipated, the Hoos will participate in the Continental Tire Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. on December 28th. Virginia will face West Virginia, a team that the Hoos have not faced since 1985. The Cavaliers won the last match-up 27-7 at Scott Stadium. Tickets can be purchased for this event by contacting the Virginia Athletic Ticket Office at 434-924-8821 (local) or by calling toll free at 1-800-542-8821. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets through UVa, instead of contacting the bowl site directly.
