Marcus Hamilton, the top cornerback in the state of Virginia, has announced his commitment to attend the University of Virginia.

Hamilton, a 6-1, 180-pound cover corner from Centreville HS in Clifton, VA is rated four stars and is ranked 11th nationally at his position by Rivals100.com recruiting service.

This past season, Hamilton had 16 tackles, 1 interception, 18+ pass break ups. QB's seldom throw in his direction. He had only 8 completions against him in 11 games.

Hamilton chose Virginia over Maryland, but had offers from several schools including Boston College, North Carolina, Michigan State, Tennessee and Georgia. Hamilton becomes UVa's 21st commitment. The Hoos can offer as many as 25 scholarships this season.
