- No. 6 in the nation per 247Sports.com
- No. 8 in the nation per Scout.com

Also on the basketball front, stay tuned for my report on redshirt freshman center Jack Salt. Salt is the subject of my final report from Media Day on October 21. EDGE subscribers can read previous reports on freshman walk-on Justice Bartley, freshman Jarred Reuter, and transfer Austin Nichols in the archives. My report on Nichols came out last week, and here is an excerpt from that piece ...

Nichols discusses the transition to UVa ...

“The transition has been going really well. At first I didn’t think it would go as well as it has, just because I’ve never been away from Memphis. I’ve been born and raised in Memphis, played two years there and everything. But it has been going really well, on the floor and off the floor. The academics are really tough, but there is plenty of help from the tutors and what not. On the court I’m just trying to learn as much as I can and trying to help the first-team win games,” Nichols said.

Football Recruiting

Stay tuned for my report on Virginia’s newest commitment, defensive line prospect Christian Brooks. Brooks is a senior out of Centreville High School in Clifton, Virginia. He is the 26th prospect to commit to UVa’s class of 2016.

Also this week I’ll fill you in on how Virginia’s class of 2016 recruits have performed on the gridiron, as well as which players are headed to postseason play.

Chris Horne, our resident recruiting expert, provides updates throughout the week for EDGE subscribers about UVa's commitments and recruiting targets in football and men's basketball.
