This Week In Recruiting With Chris Horne

Shelby (N.C.) Crest tailback Tre Harbison has helped his team to a 2-0 start to the 2015 season. I hope to reach the future Cavalier for thoughts on his senior season, his commitment to Virginia, and more.

I also hope to reach Norcross (GA) Wesleyan safety/linebacker Jordan Mack for thoughts on his team's 2-0 start, his commitment to the Hoos, and more.

Quarterback Sonny Abramson will be tossing passes to wide receiver Hasise Dubois at the University of Virginia next year. This coming Saturday, however, the two will be on opposite sides as Sparta (N.J.) Pope John XXIII takes on Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic in what will be the regular season opener for both teams. I'll catch up with both prospects for reaction in the days after.

Defensive ends Tyjuan Garbutt and Yetur Matos are two of the state of Virginia's top prospects in the class of 2017. Both players were on Grounds for this past Saturday along with other targets and many of UVa’s class of 2016 commitments.

This week, I hope to reach both Garbutt and Matos for their reaction to the event as well as an update on their visit plans this fall. Prior to last Saturday’s trip, Matos and his Fredericksburg (VA) Chancellor squad defeated a Garbutt-led Riverbend squad.

Chris Horne, our resident recruiting expert, provides updates throughout the week for EDGE subscribers about UVa's commitments and recruiting targets in football and men's basketball. To sign up for an EDGE subscription, please check out the Sabre EDGE Sign Up and Information Page. If you're already on board as an EDGE subscriber, click the links below to catch up on recruiting.
