This Week In Recruiting With Chris Horne

As expected, Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) senior power forward Jarred Reuter signed a letter of intent with the University of Virginia last week. Reuter, a 6’8”, 245-pound prospect, is rated a four-star prospect by ESPN.com and a three-star recruit by Scout, 247Sports, and Rivals.

UVa does not have any scholarships available for this class so unless there is a transfer then Reuter will be the only recruit the staff brings in this round. For more on the Virginia men’s basketball program’s newest addition, check out my free report linked below.

Also on the basketball front, EDGE subscribers can read my piece on four-star combo guard commitment Kyle Guy. Guy, a product of Lawrence Central High School (Indianapolis, IN), is one of two commitments for the Cavaliers in the class of 2016.

EDGE subscribers also can read our annual report on the newcomers to the Virginia basketball program. This year’s feature was posted last week and includes comments from all four true freshmen as well as transfer Darius Thompson.

On the football front, Cavalier recruits are in playoff action. Four-star linebacker commit C.J. Stalker, whose Lakota West (West Chester, OH) squad was on the brink of missing postseason play, is helping the Firebirds make a run in the playoffs. Read about him and other UVa recruits in the “Week In Review” that is linked below as well.

Also this week, I’ll look ahead to Miami game visitors as well as other headlines in Virginia class of 2015 recruiting.

Chris Horne, our resident recruiting expert, provides updates throughout the week for EDGE subscribers about UVa's commitments and recruiting targets in football and men's basketball.
