This Week In Recruiting With Chris Horne

Lawrence Central (Indianapolis, IN) class of 2016 combo guard Kyle Guy visited the University of Virginia this past Friday. In a “Sabre Scoop” coming out this week, I’ll have the 6’2” junior’s reaction to the trip, which was his first ever experience in Charlottesville.

Guy is one of Virginia’s top overall targets in the class of 2016.

Football recruiting-wise, Virginia extended a scholarship offer last week to class of 2015 wide receiver Warren Craft. I’ll have more on the William Fleming (Roanoke, VA) product this week, including reaction from the visit he is scheduled to make to Charlottesville on Saturday and comments from his high school coach, Bobby Martin.

Craft, a 6’2”, 185-pound prospect, verbally committed to Virginia Tech men’s basketball following his freshman year. He and the Tech basketball program went their separate ways after Buzz Williams took over as head coach this past spring. Virginia is the first FBS school to offer Craft, who Martin feels is a dynamic prospect with high potential.

In addition to Virginia, Craft also plans to be in Blacksburg this week to see Virginia Tech play Miami on Thursday night.

In addition to these updates, stay tuned this weekend for a list of confirmed football recruiting visitors at the UNC game and more.

Chris Horne, our resident recruiting expert, provides updates throughout the week for EDGE subscribers about UVa's commitments and recruiting targets in football and men's basketball.
