Snyder Decides!

As reported on TheSabre.com last week, Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA) defensive end Jake Snyder planned to sit down with his family and discuss his college decision this week. Well, he has done that and he has decided to end his recruitment, verbally committing to the University of Virginia this afternoon.

"He committed to Mike Groh about an hour ago," Deep Run head coach Greg Kendall said.

UVa was the first program to offer the 6-4, 235-pound prospect, whose older brother Matt is a freshman walk-on wide receiver for the Cavaliers. Snyder, who also boasted scholarship offers from Boston College, Colorado, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Richmond and Virginia Tech, made unofficial visits to Boston College and Virginia Tech prior to making this decision. He had been to UVa on many occasions.
