Battle Joins Fast-Growing List

A day after landing a commitment from top Chesapeake star safety prospect Perry Jones, the University of Virginia added another standout defensive back from the Tidewater region. This afternoon, the Cavaliers scored a commitment from a speedy athlete out of Phoebus High School in Hampton, Virginia.

Battle chose Virginia over offers from several MAC schools and heavy interest from Boston College, East Carolina, South Carolina and Syracuse, among others. UVa was the first major Division 1A program to offer.
