Metheny Commits To UVa

On Friday, Sherando (Stephens City, VA) quarterback Ross Metheny told TheSabre.com that he was looking forward to today's visit to Charlottesville to see a University of Virginia spring practice. The 6-3, 190-pound standout was excited for good reason, as this afternoon he decided to become the latest high school junior to commit to the University of Virginia's 2009 recruiting class.

Virginia continues its success recruiting the offensive side of the ball in the 2009 class, adding the talented Metheny to a class that already included Orange (VA) wide receiver/quarterback Quintin Hunter, Harrisonburg (VA) running back Alex Owah, Good Counsel (Wheaton, MD) wide receiver/running back/return man Caleb Porzel and Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) running back/linebacker Dominique Wallace.
