Hunter Joins 2009 Football Class

The University of Virginia football staff continued its outstanding start to the 2009 recruiting class earlier today, when outstanding athlete Quintin Hunter verbally committed to the Cavaliers. The Orange High School (VA) standout chose Virginia over offers from Maryland, Stanford, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

A first-team all-district performer at defensive back and his team's go-to wide receiver his sophomore season, Hunter became Orange's starting quarterback last season as a junior. The 6-2, 185-pound standout turned in a fantastic season in 2007, passing for 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns and rushing for 920 yards and 12 scores.
