UVa landed its 12th commitment of the 2007 recruiting class when Anthony Mihota, a 6-5, 270-pound offensive and defensive line prospect out of Massaponax High School in Fredericksburg (VA), committed to the Hoos. Mihota received an offer from head coach Al Groh this morning. "I just really wanted to go there," Mihota said of UVa. "I told them I wanted to come when they first offered me, but they told me to talk it over with my parents. I had offers from Duke, Northwestern, and Marshall, but I really wanted to go to Virginia." Mihota plays along the offensive line and defensive line for Massaponax. As a junior last season, he earned second-team All-Commonwealth district honors for his performance at offensive line. |
