Ambrose Joins Cavs' Commitment List

Mark Ambrose, a 6-6, 223-pound tight end prospect out of Mount Carmel High School in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania has committed to Virginia, according to Mount Carmel head coach Mike Brennan.

Virginia, led by primary recruiter and Tight Ends coach Bob Price, offered Ambrose a few weeks ago. The Mount Carmel star has made two trips to Virginia since, including for a spring practice on April 15 and for the spring game last weekend.

"He started the final three games for us his freshman season," Brennan said. "He had a shoulder injury his sophomore season, which I think is why his recruitment is quieter than I anticipated. He did have a good junior year. He played running back and wide receiver for us. He ran anything from a flat route to a vertical route. He is also a stand-up defensive end. He's a versatile kid."
