Report: Cavaliers Fill Final Football Job

According to a report today (Monday, February 20) in The Roanoke Times, Virginia has filled its final football coaching vacancy. The report says that UVa has hired Northern Illinois assistant Steve Bernstein. Bernstein, 61, has spent most of his career as a secondary coach.

Virginia had not had a full coaching staff since several assistants left at the end of the regular season for head coaching jobs. The Cavs defeated Minnesota in the Music City Bowl without a full staff of coaches.
