Carter Commits to Hoos Pottsgrove (Pottstown, PA) 4-star running back Brent Carter, following an outstanding official visit to Virginia last weekend, has verbally committed to the Hoos according to the Charlottesville Daily Progress and other sources. At 6-3, 200 pounds, Carter rushed for 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns in his senior season in 2005. He earned Philadelphia Inquirer all-Southeastern Pennsylvania honors for his performance. Carter, whose primary recruiter was Bob Price, chose UVa over offers from Penn State, Boston College, Minnesota, Syracuse, West Virginia and Rutgers, among others. His finalists were Penn State and Virginia before he chose the 'Hoos today. Carter is the 25th player to commit to UVa for the 2006 recruiting class.
