Jack Shields Joins Virginia's Growing Commitments List

TheSabre.com has learned of a second verbal commitment to the Hoos today. According to a source, Jack Shields, a 6-5, 250-pound tight end recruit out of Boston College High School (MA), has verbally committed to the 'Hoos.

Shields played a variety of positions throughout his high school career, including wide receiver, quarterback, tight end and defensive end. He is being recruited by UVa as a tight end. He chose UVa over Vanderbilt.
