Matt Leemhuis Commits to Virginia For the second time in as many days, the University of Virginia football program has landed itself a verbal commitment. And both commitments are projected to play safety. Today, the Cavs scored a verbal from 6-1.5, 192-pound Winston Churchill (Bethesda, MD) safety prospect Matt Leemhuis. A Washington Post second-team all-metro selection as a senior, he tallied around 100 tackles and had three interceptions from the safety position. He also played some wide receiver and running back on offense. As a junior, he racked up 85 tackles and had seven interceptions. Leemhuis becomes the 22nd player to commit for the 2006 recruiting class. Stay tuned for more on Leemhuis' commitment and other Sabre Edge content on TheSabre.com.
