Virginia head coach Dave Leitao is on a roll. Today he landed his second verbal commitment for the 2006 recruiting class when 6-5, 225-pound SG Solomon Tat chose the 'Hoos over Georgia. Tat is rated a 4-star prospect and the #96 overall recruit in the nation by Rivals.com.

Tat, a native of Nigeria, plays for Community Christian School in Stockbridge, Georgia. As a junior last season, he averaged 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. He played the point guard position last year but will be moved back to shooting guard this season.

A very strong player, Tat is very solid physically and plays with a physical nature as well. Community Christian coach Linzy Davis calls his star the "Ronnie Lott" of basketball.

Tat joins West Side High School (Gary, IN) star Jamil Tucker in Virginia's 2006 recruiting class. Coach Leitao also has received a verbal commitment from 2007 standout point guard Sam Zeglinski, who plays for William Penn Charter in Philadelphia, PA.
