According to sources, Kevin Crawford, a 6-4, 275 pound defensive line prospect out of Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, has become the 12th verbal commitment in UVa's 2005 recruiting class.

As a junior, Crawford played defensive tackle for Gar-Field. He will move to defensive end his senior season to utilize his excellent athleticism. Though he is raw according to Gar-Field Head Coach Joe Mangano, the athleticism and potential are there.

"Kevin is raw but he is an awesome athlete," Mangano said. "He's 6-4, 275 pounds, and he runs in the 4.8's in the 40. He has over a 30 inch vertical leap. He can bench press over 300 pounds. He has tremendous potential."
