Yet Another Commitment for UVa Chris Cook of Heritage High School in Lynchburg became the 11th junior to verbal to the Cavaliers for the 2005 recruiting class today, pulling the trigger shortly after receiving his offer from Virginia on Monday. "I committed to Virginia today," Cook told us early this afternoon. "I've been thinking about it for a long time. I knew that's where I wanted to go." Virginia is recruiting the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Cook as a defensive back. Cook is listed as an athlete (ATH), and he plays running back, wide receiver, and cornerback for Heritage. As a junior last season, Cook had eight interceptions on defense. On offense, he made 20 receptions. He earned first-team Coaches all-state honors at the cornerback position. Cook is the seventh player to commit to Virginia in the month of April, and the third in the last four days. He said that he had offers from Virginia and Virginia Tech.
