UVa has received a verbal commitment from one of the state's top ten prospects in Gar-Field High School (Woodbridge, VA) defensive end/outside linebacker prospect Clint Sintim. The 6-3, 240 pound Sintim chose Virginia over Virginia Tech.

"I have committed to Virginia," Sintim said. He actually committed on Wednesday before releasing the information today. "I really like the coaches there a lot. They still showed me a lot of interest even after I broke my leg, which really showed me how much they cared and made my decision easier."

Sintim becomes Virginia's 17th verbal commitment for the 2004 recruiting class. He is rated the number nine prospect in the state of Virginia, and earned second-team All-Metro honors by the Washington Post. In addition, Clint is a three-star prospect by both Rivals.com and Insiders.com.
